1. Course Description

The Chinese phonology is a traditional Chinese knowledge of the various historical periods of sound, rhyme, tone system and its law of development, is an important part of ancientchinese. Traditional phonology is divided into three departments, namely the modern pronunciations science, ancient phonology and phonology. In twentieth Century 30 time, in addition to the three Department of traditional phonology and the rise of a new Department"northern phonetics". The northern phonetics is the study of Yuan Dynasty Dadu (present-day Beijing) to the sound or Bian Luo (now Kaifeng, Luoyang) sound as the representative of the modern pronunciation of a subject.

2. Requirements

1. the clear understanding of the relevant concepts of this subject and terminology.

2. can preliminarily on the changes of historical phonetic and produce principle have certain understanding.

3. can use some common sense knowledge to solve the language problems in the study, forthe further study and research foundation.

5. Grading

Program achievements include two parts, the usual results accounting for 10% of the final grades and final examination accounting for the rest. Usual results will be based on homework performance and attendance for each assessment, which share 20% attendance, job performance 80%. Percentile score will be given in the end..
