SFLL Held an Opening Ceremony for High-end Trainees

The School of Foreign Languages and Literature held an opening ceremony for new students of the special training program on September 8th. According to the arrangement of Tianjin University, six new students would be assigned to SFLL and pursue their study in Chinese Language and Literature. Associate Dean Mr. Wang Lisong, faculty members of Chinese Department Ms. Yue Jing, Ms. Wei Jing, Mr. Wang Yongyuan, Mr. Wan Xiaogao and staff members of the administration office Ms. Wei Le, Ms. Liu Jinxiao, and Mr. Yang Hongtao attended the ceremony and introduced SFLL, Chinese Language and Literature program and the professional training system for students.

SFLL designed the special training program for the new students collectively with the Advanced Education and Training Office of TJU Graduate School, so as to help them strengthen the professional knowledge, improve the comprehensive abilities and meet the job requirements.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Wang Lisong welcomed the high-end trainees and introduced the basic information of SFLL history, development and teacher resources. He hoped that the new students could adhere to the provisions of training program, study the basic theory and professional knowledge of Chinese language and journalism and communication, enhance the professional qualification, and successfully complete the training program.

Head of Chinese Department, Ms. Yue Jing, introduced the professional characteristics, training purposes, training methods and curriculum, and assigned the instructor for each student. She said that they could be friends as well as teacher-student. Teachers could answer the doubts in professional knowledge, while the students could bring the new information and ideas for teachers.

SFLL specially prepared the high-end training manuals and explained to them the training program in details. In addition, office director Wei Le also distributed some material resources to them, including freshman guidebooks, life guidebooks, campus maps, school calendars and class schedules. She said the SFLL office would provide the best service and help them adapt to campus life. Academic Secretary Ms. Liu Jinxiao and Mr. Yang Hongtao explained the course selection requirements and student guidelines, and hoped them be strict with the class attendance and achieve the academic success.

The six high-end trainees also felt honored to study in SFLL and said that they would follow the rules, enhance their learning and improve their own qualities so as to meet the job requirements and contribute to the social development.
