1. Objective
Introduction toJournalismis a required course for students major inChinese Language and Literature.
Introduction toJournalismisa core component ofjournalism. It mainlyintroducesnews, newsclients, journalistsand otherbasicprinciples andknowledge regarding journalism.Throughthis course, students candeepen their understanding ofthe phenomenonof newsandjournalism, and can enhancetheir abilities of therecognitionofpublic information activities, acceptance andcriticism.
2. Course Description
Introduction toJournalismrequires students to master the following basic content.
The first part mainly explains what news is, and this is the basic principles of the news theory. The second part mainly explains how to do a good work in news reporting and this is the work principles for news theory. The third part mainly discusses what news is for and its relationships with other sectors of society. This is the discipline of journalism activities. The fourth part is to understand the choice of journalists on the basis of the fact that what news is. Getting to understand what kind of news topics are more easily recognized by news agencies, and what kind of news can be recognized by peers, be rewarded and have social influence.
