1. Objective
News Coverageis an elective course for students major in Chinese Language and Literature.
News Coverageis the core component of business journalism. News coverage is on the frontier of business journalism and it is the basis for news writing, editing and comment. Through the study of news coverage, students are taught the basic knowledge of news reporting, including news gathering, training and other relevant abilities. They are trained to operating the interviews by searching for topics, planning the interview, on-site press, questioning, and recording.
2. Course Description
News Coveragerequires students tohave the followingabilities:
Know the definitionof interviewandthebasicways to carry on it. Knowthe status of interviewsin the news reporting process, and understand the basic tasks and basic characteristics of news reporting. Get to comprehend the standards for news topics choosing, the operating process, the analysis of the interviewer, the principles for interviewing, the methods of asking questions, the record and the verification of interviews.
