The SFLL held the faculty general meeting and announced a new start in this semester

August 25, 2017, the School of Foreign Languages and Literature held the faculty general meeting and announced a new start in this semester. The meeting arranged new tasks in aspects of party building, teaching, human resources, scientific research, finance and security. Associate Dean Chen Dazhong and Wang Lisong, deputy party secretary Chang Hui as well as the teachers in different departments and administration office attended the meeting. Wang Lisong presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Chen Dazhong arranged the teaching work. He not only required the teachers to do comprehensive preparation in the teaching materials, handouts and lesson preparation, but also arranged the matters of teaching reform and evaluation to revise the curriculum system and syllabus so as to coordinate reforms and promote the teaching work.

Then, Mr. Wang Lisong explained to all the staff about the institutional provisions in human resources, scientific research, finance and security. For the human resources, he analyzed the newly revised document about the teachers’ qualification assessment in 2017 and made requirements and recommendations to improve the teachers’ quality. For the scientific research, he encouraged all the faculty to actively apply for the scientific research projects, publish papers and write books, so as to create a strong academic atmosphere and improve the academic level. For the finance and security, he asked faculty to follow close to the strict rules of the financial works and strengthen the security awareness.

At the beginning of the new semester, the faculty general meeting clarified the tasks and gathered the strength of all the teachers to launch a good start for the new school year.
