A Delegation from the School of Foreign Languages, Nanchang Hangkong University, Visits our School for Research Exchange

On March 11, the delegation from the School of Foreign Languages, Nanchang Hangkong University, comprising Dean Xu Xiaoqiu, Associate Dean Feng Kehong, and Xu Han, Director of the Institute of Linguistics, visited the School of Foreign Languages, Tianjin University. Dean Wang Lisong, Associate Dean Liu Jiaji, and Student Counselor Li Weiqi received the delegation.

Dean Wang Lisong extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and provided an overview of the school’s historical evolution, the development of the Institute for Global South Studies, and our work in education, teaching, research innovation, and international exchanges. He also shared the school’s educational philosophy, key achievements, and future plans, highlighting the distinctive features of its discipline construction and talent cultivation.

Dean Xu Xiaoqiu introduced the development and progress of School of Foreign Languages, Nanchang Hangkong University. She noted that Tianjin University has accumulated rich experience and achievements in Country and Area Studies and foreign language discipline construction, offering valuable references for her school’s discipline construction and future growth.

During the exchange session, the two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including the construction of foreign language majors, the distinctive development of Country and Area Studies, and the role in serving local economy in the new era.

This exchange has effectively promoted experience sharing and collaboration between both schools. Both sides will take this opportunity to deepen practical cooperation, jointly promote high-quality discipline construction, and enhance talent cultivation and social service capabilities.

Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited the School of Foreign Languages and the Institute for Global South Studies.
