Faculty Members Publish Article in Mainstream Media in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, highlighting Significance of China-Initiated “Group of Friends of Global Governance” for World Peace and Development

On March 6, Sun Xiaohan, a faculty member from the School of Foreign Languages and the Institute for Global South Studies at Tianjin University, co-authored an article with Professor Wang Zhan, Executive Director of the Institute for Global South Studies. The piece, titled “Gathering Strength for Effective Global Governance, Strengthening the Foundations of Multilateralism,” was published in Forum des As, a mainstream newspaper in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The article provides a detailed discussion of the significance of the China-initiated “Group of Friends of Global Governance” for world peace and development.

Forum des As is a highly influential mainstream media outlet in the DRC and holds the largest circulation among newspapers in the country. As a leading publication in the DRC, it frequently focuses on Sino-Congolese relations, publishing numerous pieces that promote friendly exchanges between the two nations. The newspaper plays an important role in local public opinion and in reporting on bilateral relations between China and the DRC.

Since its establishment, the Institute for Global South Studies at Tianjin University has been committed to serving national strategies and cultivating high-caliber, versatile talents.
