Course Introduction

This course is one of the specialized elective courses of Chinese contemporary literature, and one of featured lessons of Feng Jicai Institute of Literature and Art too, whose teaching resources mainly relies on Feng Jicai Reference Room. This course aims to sort out and interpret the life, literary creation and cultural ideas of the famous contemporary writer Mr. Feng Jicai systematically. By Probing the deep sources of Mr.Feng Jicai’s life, literary creativity Profoundly, by emphasizing his Literary creation and dissemination prominently, we adopt a method which is the combination of special lectures, extracurricular practice and observation. Additionally, we will extend to discuss and analyze the three other carriages of Mr.Feng Jicai’s "Four Carriages", that means his paintings, cultural heritage protection and education. With the case of Feng Jicai, this Course emphasizes on literariness, sociality, temporal spirit, guides students to revitalize their cultural awareness and understanding for contemporary literature, culture and literary field, culture field, and broadens their contemporary literature and cultural researching horizon, enhances their literary and cultural literacy.
