Course Introduction In the 1940s, modern oral history originated in the United States, Britain and other developed countries. Currently, it is seen as a major new historical method, has been widely using in many disciplines such as history, political science, economics, anthropology, literature, sociology, Folklore and demographic, etc.Under normal circumstances, oral history is seen as a scientific method using oral information of purposeful interview including sound recordings and videos as important historical texts to build and rehabilitate the original appearance of history.Therefore, oral history is also known as a veritable history of science for the general public, which reflects the return to the humanistic tradition. The development of modern communication technology, the improvement of people’s consciousness in involving social development process provides supportive conditions for the development of oral history. So far, the oral history is still in the construction phase, its methods and theories still need further exploring. This course combines practical cases of oral history, carries out theory and practice teaching, and thinks of related disciplinary Construction. | |||
