1. Course Description

Exegesis is the professional elective course for Chinese department students.Clear learning the meaning of philology; understanding of the relationship between exegesis and related disciplines; grasp the characteristics of various historical periods, exegetical origins of a broad understanding. Understand the exegetical principles and characteristics; familiar with terminology commonly used in the meaning and role of Exegesis. Comment about the origins of ancient books; combined membership of ancient note to learn to master the ancient note of the types of features, style. It is important to understand through the interpretation of the semantic content of the monograph, style and function, and can use notes and interpretations of the ancient classics to read monographs . Understand the main principles of Exegesis and try to use them in practice.

2. Requirements

Exegesis is the professional elective course for the Chinese Language and Literature undergraduate, through this course students should master the knowledge of philology. Exegesis consciously use the method, read the law to guide the ancient books, ancient books to guide better phonetic interpretation, distinguishing the false positive error, for the excellent cultural heritage of the motherland inherited personnel training.

5. Grading

Program achievements include the usual results and final examination in two parts. 10% of normal results. Usually results will be based on job performance and attendance of each assessment, which share 20% attendance, job performance 80%. Percentile is given by the final score.
